Choosing a mode
The routes we run from Jaipur range from Delhi NCR at about 280 km to Bangalore at about 1,900 km. That spread is why the answer is not the same for every move out of this city.
Delhi NCR, about 280 km on NH 48, is the run our Jaipur drivers do most often. A straight NH 48 run, comfortable for almost any pet.
We board at Jaipur Junction (JP) or Gandhinagar Jaipur (GADJ) and handle the parcel office paperwork there. On Mumbai, about 1,150 km, this is usually the best value of the three modes.
Flights leave from Jaipur International Airport (JAI) at Sanganer, which is about 13 km from the city, so the run to the cargo terminal is part of the plan rather than an afterthought. On Bangalore at about 1,900 km, flying turns a multi day journey into a few hours.

Dogs
The dogs we are asked about most in Jaipur are Labradors, German Shepherds, Indies, Pugs. Large breeds do best by road, where there is no crate size limit and no cargo hold. Pugs are common here and we keep them off flights where we can, because several airlines will not carry a snub nosed dog at all.
Most dog moves out of Jaipur are road jobs: 4 of the 7 routes we run from here go by vehicle. We use NH 48 towards Delhi and Ahmedabad on the busiest of them, Delhi NCR.
Cats
Persian cats make up most of the cat moves we run out of Jaipur. Flat faced cats feel the Jaipur summer the way snub nosed dogs do, so their pickups move to the early morning too.
Delhi NCR at about 280 km goes by road. For the Bangalore run we board at Jaipur Junction (JP), in a first AC coupe or in 2nd and 3rd AC with a handler alongside.
