The routes we run from Indore range from Ahmedabad at about 400 km to Kolkata at about 1,500 km. That spread is why the answer is not the same for every move out of this city.
Ahmedabad, about 400 km on NH 52, is the run our Indore drivers do most often. One comfortable day by road.
We board at Indore Junction (INDB) or Dewas (DWX) and handle the parcel office paperwork there. On Delhi NCR, about 800 km, this is usually the best value of the three modes.

Dogs
The dogs we are asked about most in Indore are Labradors, German Shepherds, Indies, Pugs. Large breeds do best by road, where there is no crate size limit and no cargo hold. Pugs are common here and we keep them off flights where we can, because several airlines will not carry a snub nosed dog at all.
Most dog moves out of Indore are road jobs: 4 of the 8 routes we run from here go by vehicle. We use NH 52 towards Bhopal and Jaipur on the busiest of them, Ahmedabad.
Cats
Persian cats make up most of the cat moves we run out of Indore. Flat faced cats feel the Indore summer the way snub nosed dogs do, so their pickups move to the early morning too.
Ahmedabad at about 400 km goes by road. For the Kolkata run we board at Indore Junction (INDB), in a first AC coupe or in 2nd and 3rd AC with a handler alongside.
