- Best under about 1,000 km
Road, train and air, across 28 states
Three ways to move your pet, and an honest answer about which one your route needs. A named handler travels with them from your door to the new one.
No quote form and no waiting. Tell us the route, your pet's breed and weight, and a rough date, and you get a real price on the call.
Short answer first
Answer
Three modes, and distance decides between them. Road suits journeys under about 1,000 km and needs no crate at all. Train suits 500 to 2,500 km and usually gives the best value on long pairs. Air suits anything above roughly 1,500 km, or any move where the date is fixed.
Expect ₹6,000 to ₹60,000 per pet depending on the route and mode. A named handler collects your pet from your door, travels with them, and completes the handover at the other end, so you do not have to travel yourself.
You will need a vaccination record and a vet fitness certificate. Air travel adds an IATA compliant crate, which we supply or check before the booking is made.
Choosing a mode
Air is the fastest on every route. It is rarely the only sensible one, and on long pairs the train often costs materially less while your pet stays with a person the whole way.

| Mode | Suits | Typical cost | Speed | Crate | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Road | Under about 1,000 km | ₹6,000 to ₹45,000 | Door to door, no station or airport | No crate needed | A dedicated vehicle with a trained handler, breaks every two hours. The least stressful option when the distance allows it. |
| Train | 500 to 2,500 km | ₹9,000 to ₹32,000 | Overnight on most long pairs | Crate for AC2 and AC3, none in 1st AC | First AC coupe, carrier travel at your berth, or the brake van dog box for dogs. Usually the best value on long routes. |
| Air | Above about 1,500 km | ₹17,000 to ₹60,000 | Same day | IATA crate mandatory | Fastest by a wide margin. Breed restrictions apply in the hold, and flat faced pets are often refused outright. |

First AC coupe, a carrier kept at the berth in AC2 or AC3, or the railway dog box. Our handler travels on the same train.
Small pets travel in the cabin on airlines that allow it. Larger pets travel in the pressurised hold in an approved crate.

By species
The mode that suits a Labrador is rarely the one that suits a cat, and neither works for a tortoise. Each species has its own guide.
Where we operate
We work across 28 states and 8 union territories covered, and publish detailed local guides for 30 cities with airport codes, station codes, highways and real localities.
See all 30 cities and 37 routes, grouped by region. If your city is not listed we almost certainly still cover it, so call us with the pair.
How it works
Five steps, and the first one is a phone call rather than a form.
Tell us the route, your pet, and a rough date. We recommend a mode and give you a clear price on that call.
Vaccination record and a vet fitness certificate, with photocopies. We tell you exactly what your route needs.
We book the train, flight or vehicle, and supply or check an IATA crate where the mode requires one.
A named handler collects your pet from your home and stays with them, sending updates through the journey.
Your pet is delivered to the new address, with the same handler who picked them up completing the handover.
Why us
One person travels with your pet and stays reachable. Our handlers are pet travel sitters, and they arrive hours early rather than minutes.
You get a real range before you commit, from published route pricing rather than a quote form that takes two days to come back.
If road is right for your route we will say so, even though air earns more. Most of our advice moves people down the price list, not up.

Questions people ask
There are three ways, and the right one depends on distance more than anything else. Under about 1,000 km, road is almost always best: door to door, no crate, and a break every two hours. Between 500 and 2,500 km, train usually gives the best value. Above about 1,500 km, or when the date is tight, air makes sense.
Call us with the route, your pet's breed and weight, and a rough date. We will recommend one and price it on the same call.
Roughly ₹6,000 to ₹60,000 per pet, depending on the route and the mode. Short road moves start near ₹6,000. Long train journeys usually land between ₹13,000 and ₹30,000. Air costs vary the most, from about ₹17,000 to ₹60,000, because it is priced on your pet's chargeable weight.
Our route wise cost guide publishes real prices for 45 routes with a live filter.
Yes, and most of our moves run this way. A named handler collects your pet from your door, travels with them, and completes the handover at the other end. You get updates through the journey.
Travelling with your pet yourself is cheaper on train routes, because no handler needs to accompany the journey. We will tell you when that saving is worth taking.
Yes. Dogs can travel in a booked first AC coupe, or in the brake van dog box. Small dogs and cats travel in a secure crate at your berth in AC2 or AC3, booked at the station parcel office alongside your ticket.
The dog box is for dogs only. A cat always travels with a person. Full detail is on our train travel guide.
Air India and Akasa Air carry pets, in the cabin for small pets and in the hold or through the cargo terminal for larger ones. IndiGo carries only certified guide and service dogs. SpiceJet's live animal service has been inconsistent, so we confirm it is available before quoting it.
Airline pet policy changes without notice, so our air travel guide carries a visible verified-on date.
An up to date vaccination record with a valid rabies shot, and a fit to travel certificate from a registered vet. Bring two photocopies of each, which keeps the parcel counter or cargo acceptance moving.
Air travel adds the airline booking and an approved crate. We tell you exactly what your route needs before you start collecting anything.
Measure your pet rather than guessing from breed. Crate length is nose to tail base plus half the front leg height, width is shoulder width doubled, and height is standing height plus bedding plus about 5 cm.
Our carrier and crate guide has the full size chart and a calculator that does this for you.
It can be, which is why the plan matters more than the mode. Dogs settle with walks, water and company at halts. Cats settle when they are left enclosed, covered and undisturbed, because a startled cat that gets loose is very hard to recover.
Getting your pet used to the crate for two weeks beforehand reduces travel day stress more than anything else, and it costs nothing.
On road journeys, at every halt. On trains, our handler plans breaks at longer station stops for dogs, and cats use a lined carrier between stops rather than an open platform.
Tell us your pet's usual habits when you book. We plan the halts around them rather than around the timetable.

Dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs and other small rodents, turtles, tortoises and fish. The mode changes by species: cats and small pets cannot use the railway dog box, so they travel by road or in a first AC coupe.
Each species has its own page with handling detail, linked in the section above.
Yes, though our published guides cover domestic moves within India. International moves are planned case by case, because the paperwork depends entirely on the destination country and its quarantine rules.
Call us with the destination and we will tell you honestly what is involved before you commit to anything.
