Choosing a mode
The routes we run from Goa range from Pune at about 450 km to Delhi NCR at about 1,870 km. That spread is why the answer is not the same for every move out of this city.
Pune, about 450 km on NH 66, is the run our Goa drivers do most often. One comfortable day up NH 48 via Belagavi.
We board at Madgaon Junction (MAO) or Vasco da Gama (VSG) and handle the parcel office paperwork there. On Chennai, about 900 km, this is usually the best value of the three modes.

Dogs
The dogs we are asked about most in Goa are Indies, Labradors, Beagles, Golden Retrievers, which are mostly working and medium sized breeds rather than the flat faced ones. That makes the mode choice here simpler than it is in cities where half the enquiries are for a Pug or a Bulldog.

Pune at about 450 km goes by road. For the Delhi NCR run we board at Madgaon Junction (MAO), in a first AC coupe or in 2nd and 3rd AC with a handler alongside.
